Four rooms, each with one puzzle. Every room gives you a short description, four things you can examine, and an answer box. Click the objects to gather clues, work out the answer, and type it in. Solving a room adds an item to your inventory and moves you on to the next one.
There is no score and no timer. Progress shows only in the bar at the top, which fills a quarter per room solved, and the inventory strip, which collects one reward per room: an old key, a lab keycard, an ancient scroll and finally freedom. A wrong answer costs nothing, so you can guess freely. Answers are trimmed and lowercased before comparison, so capitals do not matter, but the text must otherwise match exactly — including any leading zero in a numeric code.
No. There is no score, no attempt limit and no timer, so guessing and using hints costs nothing.
