How to play

Balloon Pop is a 60 second click test. Balloons drift up from the bottom of the canvas at random sizes, colours and speeds, and you burst them by clicking before they leave the top. Balloons that escape are counted in the Missed column.

• Click on a balloon — pops it. The hit test uses the balloon's oval shape, so the string below it is not clickable.
• Start button — begins the 60 second round. It reads Restart afterwards and clears the score, the missed count and the clock.

Scoring

A popped balloon pays 10 points plus five times its rise speed, rounded. Speed is randomised between 1 and 3 at spawn, so a fresh balloon is worth 15 to 25 points. Speed also grows with your score — a hundredth of the current score is added to every new balloon — so balloons get faster and more valuable as the round goes on. Missed balloons cost nothing; they are only counted and reported with your score at the end.

Tips

• Prioritise the fastest balloons. They pay the most and they are the ones about to escape.
• Catch balloons low, shortly after they appear, so you avoid a crowd all reaching the top together.
• The spawn rate rises with your score too, so keep your pointer near the middle of the canvas as the board fills.
• Small balloons are worth no more than large ones — value depends on speed alone — so take the bigger target when both are in reach.
