How to play

A two-player UNO against the CPU. You are each dealt seven cards from a 108 card deck and one non-wild card starts the pile. On your turn you play a card matching the colour in force or the value on top, and wild cards can be played on anything. The first to empty their hand wins. With nothing to play, you take cards from the deck until you have one.

Scoring

No points are kept. The counters show both hand sizes and the cards left in the deck. The deck holds one zero and two of each number from 1 to 9 per colour, two each of Skip, Rev and Draw Two per colour, plus four Wild and four Wild Draw Four. Draw Two makes your opponent take two cards and Wild Draw Four makes them take four, drawn immediately. Skip and Rev play as ordinary coloured cards and have no extra effect with two players. The CPU plays the first legal card it holds and picks a random colour for a wild.

Tips

Frequently asked questions

Can I play this on a phone?

Yes — on a touch screen the game shows on-screen buttons, and games played with a mouse work by tapping.

Do Skip and Reverse do anything?

Not in this two-player version. They are played like any other coloured card and the turn passes normally.

Do I have to call UNO on my last card?

No. There is no UNO call and no penalty; both hand counts are visible throughout.
