How to play

One emoji is shown as the target and a grid of candidates sits below it. Find the one that matches and click it before the timer bar empties. Rounds run continuously with no end, and both the number of options and the speed increase as your score climbs.

• Option tile — click the emoji in the grid that matches the target. All tiles stop responding once you have picked.
• Start — begins a run with the score, level and streak reset to their opening values.

Scoring

A correct pick scores 10 points plus 2 for each answer already in your current streak, so consecutive hits are worth 10, 12, 14 and on upward. A wrong pick or a timeout scores nothing and resets the streak to zero. Your level is your score divided by 50, plus one, and it drives the difficulty in two ways: the grid grows from four options to a maximum of eight, adding one every two levels, and the time allowed drops by one second every three levels, from eight seconds down to a floor of four. The pool holds fifty emoji covering faces, animals, food, objects and symbols, and the three or more decoys are drawn fresh from it each round.

Tips

• Look at the target's shape and dominant colour rather than reading it as a picture. At four seconds there is no time to identify what each emoji actually depicts.
• Scan the grid in a fixed order every round. Jumping around wastes the little time the later levels give you.
• The streak bonus compounds without limit, so a careless click on an easy round costs more than the round itself.
